1. Acceptance

By using friendly-owl.com or Friendly Owl for Mac, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the app.

2. The purchase

Friendly Owl for Mac is sold on the Mac App Store for $29.99, paid once. Apple handles the purchase. Use of the app follows that Mac App Store license, including Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

3. Your responsibilities

Friendly Owl captures what is on your screen and stores it on your Mac. You are responsible for:

• Making sure that capture does not break a policy, contract, or law that applies to you.
• Backups of your Mac, for example with Time Machine. We do not keep a copy of your activity.
• Protecting the Mac from people who should not see those files.

4. Limits on use

• Do not reverse engineer the app or try to extract the source code, except where the law says you may.
• Do not redistribute or resell the app.
• Do not use the app to surveil someone else without the right to do so.

5. No warranty

Friendly Owl is provided “as-is” and “as-available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

OCR and time totals can be wrong. The app may miss activity. You should review a time sheet before you rely on it.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Friendly Owl and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill, from using or being unable to use the app or this website.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date below will change when we do.
